All-purpose spray adhesive, propellant free from fluoro-chloro-hydrocarbons
KIWOFIX SX is a spray adhesive which can be used as a contact, mounting or pressure sensitive adhesive. KIWOFIX SX is used for the safe bonding of paper, cardboard, felt, wood, metals, rubber foams and many plastics (including rigid foams, e.g. Styropor® of BASF AG). KIWOFIX SX produces a beige, slightly opaque adhesive film. The fine spray spreads evenly and thinly and therefore allows economical application. The fog-like spray jet also penetrates fine openings which are not filled by liquid or pasty adhesives. Final adhesion is achieved after 24 hours.
Application
Contact adhesion: apply the adhesive onto both parts to be bonded and allow to dry between 5 - 15 min. depending on the applied thickness and room temperature. Firmly press both parts together. No positioning is possible afterwards.
Mounting adhesion: apply the adhesive onto both parts to be bonded and allow to dry for a very short time only. Put the parts together while the adhesive film is still wet; subsequent positioning can still be done for some time depending on the properties of the material. Do not load the bonding until the adhesive has been dried completely (approx. 24 h).
Pressure sensitive adhesion: spray the adhesive onto one of the parts to be bonded and allow to dry for approx. 10 - 15 min. Press both parts together. KIWOFIX SX can especially be used for fixing textiles onto printing tables.
