The Apollo 155 uses a new generation of impulse technology for the heat sealing of PVC tarpaulins, fabrics and other materials. This technology is an alternative to high-frequency, hot air or hot-wedge heat sealing. It also offers many different advantages compared to traditional solutions used until now. Depending on the model, it is possible to heat seal up to 5 m in length, without visible joints, in a very short work cycle. The installation of an Apollo system is less expensive and more efficient than traditional systems. The Apollo 155 can also be used for fabrics containing Teflon and silicone.
Impulse technology is safe and environmentally friendly, as there is no exposure to electromagnetic fields. For this reason, Apollo systems can be placed near printers or computers without causing problems. The Apollo 155 can join two pieces of material on top of each other or create "sleeves". Another way to use it for reinforcement is to place a strip of material on the edges of a giant poster, where the brackets are to be placed. The heating elements that perform the heat sealing functions use impulse technology, which ensures precise joints and avoids creasing and damage to the material.
Thanks to a new, special thermal adhesive material, the system allows the permanent joining of different materials together, such as polyester, canvas, cotton fabric, etc.
The system has two heating elements: a lower bar, integrated into the workbench, and an upper bar that moves vertically. During operation, the heated upper bar descends and presses the material onto the lower bar. The temperature, time and pressure are electronically controlled and guarantee perfect material joints. The temperature control device is precise, ensuring uniform joints after many successive work cycles. Both bars are protected by a thin Teflon film that prevents materials from sticking to them.
The integrated touch screen control panel offers continuous control of temperature and cooling time. The user-friendly software includes up to 39 memory locations and other tools. For specific tasks and requirements, it is possible to heat only one bar, top or bottom. The control panel is connected to an internal PLC that controls all the different tasks of the machine. It is possible to save and recall specific settings, as well as the type of heat sealing for a specific material.
